The film publicist and former Sydney resident Emma Cooper married the film and television writer Harry Cripps. It was a ceremony with an all-star cast.

Cooper's bridesmaid was her old friend the actor Naomi Watts, who was joined at the chapel by her actor partner, Liev Schreiber, and their sons Sasha, 3, and Samuel, 2. Following the service, Watts showed her directorial abilities outside the church by grabbing a camera to take photos of the wedding party.

Also among the guests were other expat Australian actors who have made it big in Hollywood, including the former Ballina High boy and latter-day heart-throb Simon Baker.

Baker was joined by his actor wife, Rebecca Rigg. Earlier this week reports from Los Angeles revealed Baker had hit the big time in the US, signing a deal worth $US30 million to continue his hit show The Mentalist, making him one of the highest paid television actors in the world.

The deal also marks a considerable milestone since his days acting in the local soap opera E Street and working as a go-go dancer in the background of pop music videos in the early 1990s
