body along the Sacramento River got a lot of people concerned on Thursday, but it turns out that it was put there deliberately by a TV crew who are filming.

Drivers along the I Street Bridge reported seeing a body in the water, but the body was a dummy all part of a shoot for CBS's "The Mentalist."

People along the river walk stopped in their tracks to catch a glimpse of Hollywood in West Sacramento.

"It's exciting, we were thrilled to find out about it," says one pedestrian.

The CBS hit show "The Mentalist" taped part of an upcoming episode along the Sacramento River today. Star-gazers were out in full force, as leading man Simon Baker walked around the set.

Local Jet Ski business owner, Bruce Rudulph, was proud two of his watercrafts that were being used on set.

"We rented to them yesterday and today," he said.

Members of Sacramento's Drowning Accident Rescue team, or DART, helped create an almost too realistic crime scene.

"There was a dummy lying there with its legs all twisted all sideways," says one member of the team.

And even though its wrap for today, the show will continue shooting in Sacramento tomorrow at the Capitol.

Sacramento Police say they also contracted out an officer and their marine unit to the show. But, there is no word on when those scenes shot in Sacramento will air.
